Here are two scenes from « Song From the Forest, » a deeply captivating visual and sonic exploration of the wondrously odd life of Louis Sarno, an American musicologist who fell in love, literally, with the musical Bayaka pygymy culture that he began studying in Central African Republic in 1985.
One shows him in the village he spent much of his adult life in; the other shows him bringing his Bayaka son, Samedi, to New York City.
